RED, Inc. Communication - Credibility

Research, develop, write and edit material for reports, manuals, procedures, journal articles, and other technical and administrative publications utilizing a full understanding and application of grammar and usage principles, theories, and techniques. Assist in the preparation illustrations, graphic images, diagrams and charts in support of the creation of a document/publication. Work with other groups to create, revise, and submit proposals for technical clarity, proper grammar and usage, and responsiveness to the funding agency’s needs.

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Experience with writing and editing procedures
  • Ability to edit from a rough draft including organization and rewriting as necessary
  • Organize technical information from different areas into a cohesive product
  • Produce documents in simple, easily understood language without loss of technical content and meticulous attention to logic, consistency and accuracy
  • Edit for punctuation and grammar
  • Complete extensive revisions
  • Coordinate and schedule documentation activities with project managers, engineers and subject matter experts
  • Proofread, verify changes, and quality check/verifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicable bachelor’s degree and five years experience in writing/editing scientific and technical information.
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Word
  • Hold or obtain security clearance and maintain clearance for duration of employment
  • Must be a US citizen
